Job description

As a Sales Account Executive at Cloudalize you will be responsible for the expansion and preservation of our customer base and as such, you will have a direct impact on our growth. You will be responsible for selling our innovative platform delivering GPU power on demand from the cloud.


The ideal candidate should showcase excellent communication, customer focus and resiliency to achieve the right balance between customer orientation and a results-driven approach. The role requires insight, adaptability and leadership in identifying, selecting, rapidly developing and closing qualified business opportunities as well as maintaining customer relationships at a high standard.


You will get the support and advice from the Cloudalize management team to make decisions on complex business issues and also report directly to the management team on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities as Sales Account Executive

  • Listen to prospects, identify their needs, help them understand their pains and challenge their status quo
  • Educate prospects on Cloudalize’s offering, platform and differentiators
  • Involve your fellow technical colleagues as well as Cloudalize’s partners to build prospects’ business case
  • Present and demonstrate the value of Cloudalize’s platform, develop proposals, hold commercial negotiations and close deals
  • Remain in frequent contact with existing customers and partners and maintain long-lasting profitable relationships based on trust and mutual satisfaction
  • Network with decision makers in your focus segment and geo
  • Provide insights to your fellow sales, marketing and technical colleagues on the latest trends in, evolution of and feedback from the market
  • Learn continuously from your colleagues and stay current on Cloudalize’s offering, new features and product launches
  • Suggest innovative ideas and best practices to increase sales efforts efficiency and improve customer experience
  • Keep records of sales and data


Required knowledge and skills

  • Excellent active listening skills coupled with a natural ability to ask the right questions to understand prospects' needs
  • Customer-focused, solution-oriented and result-driven approach to identify, develop, follow up on and close qualified business opportunities
  • Knowledge of sales and negotiating principles in order to successfully drive the sales process - from proposal to contract sign-off
  • Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills as well as the necessary drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking for new opportunities
  • Ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with key decision makers at prospects and partners with a focus on impact and growth
  • Fast-learner attitude to quickly acquire and disseminate the knowledge on Cloudalize’s technology, offering and (target) industry/markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate and enthusiastic team player willing to empower and guide fellow colleagues
  • Confident, self-motivated, tactful, resilient and persuasive mindset
  • Fluency in English

Required experience and track record

  • University or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field is preferred; sales certification is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant B2B sales experience, preferably in a tech startup
  • Experience with
    • Selling digital products (enterprise software or SaaS is a plus)
    • Selling to small- and medium-sized companies
    • Direct and channel sales
  • Proven track record in
    • Deal initiation
    • Conversion of new prospects into booked orders
    • Hitting quota’s
    • Achieving progressively higher quota’s
  • Understanding of the role of IT and associated challenges within small- and medium-sized companies
  • Previous exposure to and knowledge of the AEC (i.e. Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry and associated trends is a plus
  • Previous exposure to and knowledge of the cloud infrastructure industry and associated trends, solutions and competitors is a plus
